Peace River Regional Medical Center’s Bariatric Surgery Program offers you a comprehensive approach for weight loss. At Peace River, Laparoscopic and Open Gastric Bypass Surgery (Roux-en-Y) and the Adjustable Gastric Banding System, commonly referred to as the LAP-BAND are performed by twoFellowship Trained Surgeons and a specialty trained Bariatric Team. Our Fellowship-Trained surgeons have the ability and expertise to proficiently perform the surgical procedure that would most benefit you in accordance to your health needs. Our physicians and supporting staff provide you with individualized care in order to support your efforts as you venture forward toward your desired weight loss and lifestyle modifications. Our comprehensive approach includes a Medical and Surgical Evaluation, Psychological Evaluation, Nutritional Counseling with a Registered Dietician for one full year, Regularly Scheduled Support Groups attended by one of our Surgeons and/or Dietician, as well as a Wellness Program. All of these have been designed to assist you in your recovery and management of your life after surgery. |
