SURGEON'S MESSAGE

Welcome

I personally want to thank you for choosing our Bariatric Program at Peace River Regional Medical Center. Our program consists of two Fellowship-Trained Bariatric surgeons, a bariatric coordinator, a dietician, a family doctor, a psychiatrist, as well as specialized nurses and operating room personal. Together, we are here to help you better understand obesity and its surgical options.

Our dedicated team of professionals will assist you in making the necessary lifestyle changes that will be essential to begin a new life before and after obesity surgery. We will take you step by step beginning with the decision to have obesity surgery as well as making sure that after the surgery you have the knowledge and supportive staff to make this a pleasant and successful journey.

Please take this opportunity to review this bariatric informational guide so you can become more comfortable and knowledgeable regarding your options in treating morbid obesity. The more informed and comfortable a patient becomes with their decision and in the choice of their medical and surgical team, the better the outcome after surgery.

Many of you reading this message have been contemplating obesity surgery for some time. Now is the time to take action and take control of your health and add years to your life. It would be my pleasure to meet with you and your family members to discuss the different options involved with obesity surgery.

On behalf of myself and the entire Bariatric Team of specialists, I would like to welcome you to our program and thank you for choosing Peace River Regional Medical Center. We understand you have a choice when choosing hospitals, and we are proud you have chosen us for your surgical care.

Sincerely,

Alejandro Gruneiro, M.D.
